Faster Implementation with Lifecycle Services for Microsoft Dynamics AX

Lifecycle Services offers a cloud-based collaborative work space for Dynamics customers and their partners to manage Microsoft Dynamics AX projects from pre-sales to implementation and operations. Based on the phase of the project and relative industry, the site provides checklists and tools for a faster implementation and management of new projects. The dashboard allows for a single place for shared updates and project information. Lifecycle Services is accessible with CustomerSource and PartnerSource login credentials.

The tools provided by Lifecycle Services are:

Project Home Page –This is where you choose project type which then determines the checklists and tools for managing the project.

Business Process Modeler lets you create, view and modify standard process flows inside Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Usage Profiler is a data gathering tool that collects the  projected or current usage of  a Dynamics implementation. The usage profile that is generated can be used for many purposes like hardware sizing and support.

License Sizing Estimator provides a shared workspace that enables you to model default and customized roles and then automatically calculate required client access licenses.

Customization Analysis validates model files against best practices and provides a report of potential areas for improvement.

Upgrade Analysis helps to plan your upgrades to the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics AX by analyzing code artifacts from previous versions. This tool also provides a Rapid Data Collector (RDC) component to analyze existing environment information to help estimate the scale of the upgrade project.

Issue Search helps find existing solutions and workarounds for known issues in Dynamics AX and System Diagnostic services helps administrators monitor Microsoft Dynamics AX environments.

Additionally, Lifecycle Services provides support for a number of  industries with check lists and business processes that are available by default depend on the industry that is selected when creating the project.
